Now in its 15th year, Break The Cycle 2025 is the Bristol Bears Community Foundation’s biggest annual fundraising event and offers cyclists the choice of three routes – Gold (100 km), Silver (66 km) and Bronze (33 km) – starting and finishing at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Open to everyone from beginners to experienced riders, the event raises crucial funds to support us in delivering more life-changing programmes in our communities. Riders are fully supported along the route with mechanical and medical support, as well as refreshments and lunch stops. The full event schedule, routes and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in due course.

This year’s event on Sunday, June 29th will be raising funds to support those young people not in employment, education, or training (NEET).
We have a target of £20.000 to deliver a year-long programme for 20 young people to gain English and maths qualifications and work experience at local businesses. Data shows that, in Bristol, NEET rates are higher than the national average with those experiencing detrimental effects on both physical and mental health, and increased likelihood of unemployment, low wages or low-quality work later on in life. Not everyone thrives in traditional education or employment pathways, so we offer an alternative that works for them.
Come join us at Ashton Gate, by registering here.
There are plenty of sponsorship opportunities, we would love to chat if this is something you may be interested in.
